About Me

I just finished my master's degree in management with an emphasis on technology at New York University. While I learned plenty about business and technology, it was during my first semester at NYU that I realized my undiscovered passion: coding. Better late than never, right?

More specifically, I developed an interest in data wrangling and data analytics while working on a start-up idea. Currently, I'm an intern at Brooklyn Public Library's Office of Strategy and Innovation, where I use primary and secondary data sources to help inform the library's five-year strategic plan.

Currently looking for opportunities in data journalism and policy-related data analysis. If you know of anything, feel free to reach out!

Work Experience

Intern - Data, Strategy & Innovation - Brooklyn Public Library (2017 - Present)

I use data analytics to help inform the library's five-year strategic plan. I work heavily in R, ArcGIS and Tableau to create custom maps with both internal and external data sources. Currently, my analysis (and mine alone) is being used to pick the location of a new, multi-million dollar branch.

Content Editor - Booking.com (2014 - 2015)

I was responsible for curating content for hotel profiles and landing pages for the Andean region of South America. I also designed and implemented best-practices workshops for high-priority partners, in addition to training a permanent content team to staff the Colombia office.

Journalist - The News Mexico (2012 - 2014)

As the cultural reporter, I was in charge of producing 5-7 full-length articles on topics such as art, culture, science and travel. I spent the last year at The News working as the editor of the Mexican Politics section.
